New Processing Center

New Processing Center

Cacao Oro recently purchased an additional 64 hectares of land near the town of Las Breñas, that is approximately 1 kilometer from the main road leading to the east coast port of Puerta Cabezas. This new land will be partitioned with 14 hectares being developed as the site for our new 2700 square meter steel structure that will hold our drying processing center. A smaller office building will be built adjacent to the larger center. The remaining 50 hectares will be planted – half with cocoa, and half with coffee.

This new land is adjacent to a newly built road from our farm to the main road leading to the coast. This newly built road reduces the distance to Puerta Cabezas from 140 kilometers to 100 kilometers and allows easier access by our trucks and equipment. The main east – west road to the coast is currently being paved which further eases our export logistics to the coastal port of Puerta Cabezas.
